Every year Britney releases a new fragrance. But don’t fret about her spending long hours in a kichen laboratory concocting new formulas. Her perfumes are made by Elizabeth Arden, which is one of the more responsible perfume manufacturers with many popular, celebrity-endorsed brands that are not tested on animals. The basics of the Britney Spears collection are Curious, Fantasy, In Control, and Believe. Each successive release is more adult than the previous one, just as the advertisements for each release feature a Britney wearing fewer clothes than in the previous ads. Curious
The first perfume to bear Britney’s endorsement was Curious, in 2004. It’s a flowery scent

Fantasy
The second Britney Spears perfume was Fantasy, introduced in 2005. It smells a lot like chocolate cupcakes, of all things, with a strong base note of vanilla. Tropical fruit scents pervade as the perfume warms to your body. Even though it doesn’t sound like a great combination of aromas, it’s actually a very romantic scent sometimes compared to the far more expensive Angel. Midnight Fantasy
Fruity and floral with musks and dark amber, this variation is a limited edition that is a sexier, naughtier version of Fantasy more suitable for evenings at the club. It’s not so long lasting as Fantasy. I would not have expected such a fruity aroma from a perfume designed for evening wear.
In Control
In Control is a variation of Curious that was introduced in 2006. It’s more appropriate to Britney’s adult persona of temptress and siren. This is a bolder more adventurous aroma featuring vanilla and creme brulee, loquat fruit, midnight orchid, sugared sandalwood and musk.
Believe
In 2007, Believe is the newest addition to the Britney Spears line of fragrances. The packaging is more modern, the image is more adult, but the scent is still all about food, flowers and fruit, particularly pralines and tangerines with a heart of honeysuckle. Patchouli and amber add sophistication to the blend, making this perhaps the first of her fragrances to appeal to mature confident adult women. Britney Spears perfumes are moderately priced and readily available in department stores and online specialty perfume stores, but they are not to everyone’s taste.
